Having problems with my homophobic family (I'm out to my friends, but not to them), but they have okayed the project and my facilitator thinks its a great idea because it is "contoversial" and "will make social waves." I'm writting a drama on Chicago's first LGBT Rights march of 1970 and will be performing it at IL History Fair Regional Competition next February. The thing is, it won't just be in front of a panel of judges, but a live audience of competetors, so all my friends are scared to death and refuse to be in it. Most use the fact that they're straight as an excuse and the gays and bis don't really feel like advertising their orientation that much, so I am stuck searching still!! I am prepared to kiss girl onstage and not care if the judges, the audience, my friends, my facilitator, or even my mother sees! In my eyes, it's acting, but even my drama club friends won't budge. Gahh!! DX
